Before joining AROC, Rachel was a secretary at an elementary school in the Anchorage School District for 3 years. Her first job was in a kitchen as a prep cook and she was part of the culinary team at Service High School that went all the way to Nationals in Washington, DC. She is extremely grateful for the opportunities that she has had in the culinary world.

Rachel was born and raised here in Anchorage and spent summers in Glennallen. She truly loves being outside either walking, hiking, or paddle boarding, regardless of the weather. Besides being outdoors, Rachel enjoys reading and painting. She currently has 254 books in her room, not including her kindle. She loves to paint the outdoors and flowers, working mainly with acrylic but trying to get into watercolors.

At home she has 2 black cats named Kiki and Nala. They are just over 1 year old and are from the same litter; they are inseparable. She also has 2 bearded dragons named Mushu and Pascal.

Rachel endeavors to always be a ray of sunshine and to make everyone who comes into the office feel welcome.
