Meet Savannah, AROC’s front desk extraordinaire! Since February 2023, Savannah has been the warm, welcoming face patients first see when they arrive. Her role includes answering phones, scheduling consultations for Dr. Magnuson, and arranging integrative care appointments like massages, acupuncture, and nutrition. Helping to ensure patients have everything they need for follow-ups and consultations; Savannah loves to go above and beyond.
One particular instance of helping out involved arranging a hotel and transportation for a patient, even though it isn’t part of her job description. The gratitude she receives, like being told their care at AROC is the best they’ve experienced, warms her heart. Patients often mention they’ll miss visiting the office, which is a testament to the warm environment they find here.
Savannah, along with her husband Tristan, ventured from the bustling Dallas-Fort Worth area to the frozen north early last year. Their bold move was inspired by a visit to her aunt in December 2022, and they’ve been loving Alaska ever since. Tristan is currently training to be an airplane mechanic, while Savannah continues to enrich AROC with her infectious positivity.
Away from her desk, Savannah revels in her hobbies. She skates, enjoys hiking, and is an avid reader of science fiction – she’s currently engrossed in “Scythe” by Neil Shusterman. Interestingly, they share their new Anchorage home with Echo, a vibrant parrotlet who is obsessed with human company and loves perching on Savannah’s shoulder.
Despite working over weekends, Savannah and Tristan make the most of their time together, even if it’s a simple evening at home. We love having Savannah’s vibrant spirit as part of our team and her dedication to making AROC a place where patients feel comfortable and cared for, no matter their challenges.
