Amy Loschert, ND FABNO
Medical Director of Integrative and Supportive Oncology Services and Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Amy Loschert has the experience of being a board-certified naturopathic doctor for over 20 years. Her career started as a general practice doctor in Arizona where she specialized in hormone balancing and Women’s Health. Her approach included using multiple modalities such as therapeutic nutrition, classical homeopathy, botanical medicine and hormone replacement as needed. Over the years she expanded her reach to patients in multiple states, including Minnesota, Colorado, and Oregon, treating a variety of patients with difficult-to-treat immune-related, metabolic, and mental health disorders. I have a passion for helping people live their most healthy and fulfilling lives where one can achieve anything they want. Cancer patients and survivors are especially poised and inspired to reach for this in their lives, and thus, ironically, I’ve heard many times that a person’s diagnosis of cancer was a “blessing in disguise” or ‘wake-up call’ to prioritize themselves and what is most important to them.”
After 11 years, she was called to work with cancer patients, given the wide-reaching benefits naturopathy could offer those suffering from this disease and its toxic but necessary treatments. After many patient hours, advanced training and a rigorous examination, she became a Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology and licensed as a naturopathic integrative oncologist, a credential held by around 100 physicians in all of North America. Her passion led her back to Arizona, where she worked at Cancer Treatment Centers of America and received her graduate certificate in Public Health and Translational Research from the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health in Tucson, AZ. Her passion for working with disparate populations led to her position as the Director of Integrative Services at the Salish Cancer Center in FIfe, WA, the only tribally owned cancer center in America.
For the past several years, Dr. Loschert has served on the Board of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Examiners, updating and holding rigorous testing standards for those entering the profession and worked inside her own successful nationwide virtual practice, where she created personalized programs for cancer survivors and active patients wanting to prevent recurrence and come back stronger after cancer mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Dr. Loschert’s philosophy is based on the power of integrative medicine, where 1 +1= 3. “One will always reap more success when they receive the best of both conventional and complementary medicine simultaneously.” Her goal is to help patients feel safe, truly listened to, hopeful and inspired.
